Buffalo History Channel screening @ Central Library's Ring of Knowledge
Join us for a special screening of stories from the Buffalo History Channel by filmmaker Doug Ruffin. Since 2020, the Buffalo History Channel on YouTube has created over 300 videos focused on Buffalo's Black history, covering everything from the historic civil rights movement to contemporary entrepreneurship and the arts.
This month's screening will feature Ruffin's interview with a member of the Black Panther Party chapter organized in Buffalo, NY. Ruffin's interview uses archival footage to shine a light on the history and importance of the Black Panther Party for the region.
