OUTREACH’S 43rd ANNUAL METROPOLITAN LUNCHEON TO HONOR NEW YORK CITY BUSINESS AND LABOR LEADERS
Receiving the 2024 Jim Berg Memorial Award, a special recognition that honors individuals for their outstanding service to Outreach and the community, will be Gerry Chasin, Managing Director, Wealth Management & Institutional Consulting at the Chasin Group. The Berg Award is in memory of the late labor law and real estate leader, Jim Berg, who was an Outreach board member.
Also honored will be Joseph A. Geiger, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the New York City District Council of Carpenters, who will receive the 2024 Labor Leader of the Year Award, and Drew O’Connor, Senior Vice President, Head of Commercial Property Management, Rudin, who be honored as 2024 Humanitarian of the Year.
“Our honorees have made outstanding contributions in real estate, finance, and labor. They are also focused on helping New Yorkers suffering from life-threatening behavioral health issues. Substance misuse and overdoses continue to overwhelm our community, our state, and our nation. Outreach is grateful to our honorees for the time and resources they have dedicated to deliver awareness to our cause and offer healing to those afflicted by this epidemic,” said Pantin.
The Outreach Metropolitan Luncheon is the agency’s largest fundraising event of the year. It celebrates the people and programs that are effective in rebuilding the lives of those fighting addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. All proceeds will support the organization’s substance use treatment, mental health, and training programs in New York City and Long Island.
