Comedy From Scratch is where you go in Westchester County to hear top comics from TV and NYC's major clubs performing long sets on an intimate stage. Past performers include comedians from HBO, Netlfix, Colbert, SNL, the Daily Show, Letterman, the Tonight Show, Comedy Central, and more. Every month, Ben Asher's presents comedy that reaches up into your brain with the force of a fist through the nose. Awarded "Best of Westchester Comedy Show" by Westchester Magazine. Every month you can hear some of the most talented comics perform long sets, that other shows don't give them the time to perform. Comedy From Scratch is your chance to get to really watch comedians flex their muscles and hit their stride on stage, at The Idea Kitchen. Locally-grown comedian Ben Asher presents a tasting of what the area's best stand-up comics are cooking up, at 'Comedy From Scratch' at the Idea Kitchen every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month - that's right, you demanded more comedy, so we now give Westchester Comedy Twice a Month! Seating at 7:00 PM (bring your food and drink/wine with you and sit down at our tables to eat before the show and pick out your seats!!) Admission is $25 in advance, and $30 if purchased the day of the show. (Unlike Comedy Clubs, There is NO 2-Drink Minimum at this show)(and there is Free Parking.) He's also known for his whimsical pen & ink drawings (in the 3rd grade he discovered Shel Silverstein and 1960's Playboy cartoons and he hasn't looked back since). He has called NYC home for 17 years and has been doing stand-up comedy for 15 years. ​In 2018 he made his network television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' and his Comedy Central 'The Half-Hour' special (which can be seen streaming on Paramount+) was televised in 2016 . He’s appeared on 'Adam Ruins Everything' on TruTV, 'Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle' on Comedy Central, Fox, and on 'Uproarious' on Fuse. His album 'Serious Goose' (released with Comedy Records in 2019) is in steady rotation on Sirius XM. ​He's also been highlighted on the New York Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, Brooklyn Comedy Festival, Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, Undertow Comedy Festival, and many more. In 2015, he was diagnosed with stage IV Hodgkin’s lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy leading to remission. Laura High (TikTok; Caroline's On Broadway 'BreakOut Artist') - https://www.laurahighfive.com Laura High is a New York actor and comedian, who grew up in Rye, NY. Laura has had lead roles on TV shows, and national commercials. Laura performs stand-up comedy at venues like Broadway Comedy Club, Bananas, and headlined Carolines on Broadway, has been featured on the New York Comedy Festival and won the 'Broadly Funny' Divison at the 360 Stand Up Festival. Laura has gone viral several times on TikTok and her following has grown exponentially in a short amount of time.
