Guided Historic House Tours
Tours are offered at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm, and 4:00 pm.
The Classic Tour: Inside The Octagon House provides a foundational understanding of this iconic house and features something for everyone. Explore the three primary floors and learn about the history, architecture, furnishings, and restoration of this local marvel.
Through November 3, 2025, all tours include the special installation The Garden of Earthly Delights and A Sentimental Education by Mark Dion and Dana Sherwood, on view in select rooms of the third floor.
The Octagon House is a privately owned home and active residence. All visitors to the property must tour with a guide. Tours are recommended for ages 12+ and include three flights of stairs, and are therefore not suitable for wheelchair users, those with limited mobility, or those who struggle to stand for extended periods of time.
