Join BridgeMusik for Festival Finale — We the Music, the culminating event of the BridgeMusik Summer Festival 2026: We the Music — Celebrating 250 Years of American Voices.
This festive closing concert brings together BridgeMusik Festival students, faculty artists, and special guests in a celebration of the creativity, collaboration, and musical achievements that have defined the festival.
Featuring performances by students and professional musicians working side by side, the program highlights the artistic growth, mentorship, and community spirit that are central to the BridgeMusik experience. Featuring Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring, music by John Philip Sousa, and works by other American composers, the concert celebrates America's musical heritage and the next generation of musical voices.
Drawing inspiration from the festival theme, the program reflects the many voices that have shaped American musical life while highlighting the next generation of artists. The concert embodies BridgeMusik's commitment to honoring America's musical heritage while fostering creativity, excellence, and artistic discovery.
As the final event of the BridgeMusik Summer Festival 2026, this concert brings together the festival's themes of mentorship, artistic discovery, cultural exchange, and community engagement.
Inspired by the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, this year's festival explores the rich tapestry of American musical life through the works of American composers, jazz innovators, and immigrant artists who helped shape the nation's cultural identity.
Festival highlights include Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale at the Nyack Center on August 1–2, the world premiere of Dedication to Faust by Thomas Cabaniss, a newly commissioned work created and performed by The Dolphins Quartet, free Chamber Hour library concerts, community performances, and collaborations between emerging musicians and professional artists.
As the festival concludes, BridgeMusik looks ahead to a new season of Chamber Hour concerts, educational programs, and community performances throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond.
