CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT: Angelica Presents “Land of the Silver Birch” this May in Westchester
Angelica Women’s Chamber Choir, directed by Marie Caruso, presents “Land of the Silver Birch: Celebrating Canadian Composers,” this May in Westchester. The program features choral works by Eleanor Daley, Stephen Smith, Sarah Quartel, and Diane Loomer, alongside songs inspired by Canada’s natural beauty. It also honors iconic singer-songwriters including Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, k.d. lang, and Loreena McKennitt, and concludes with reflective works by Stephen Chatman and Don Macdonald. Joining Angelica are guitarists Fred Caruso and Ed Pitaro, and cellist Matt Stauffer.
