13th Annual Academy Awards Film Series--"Song Sung Blue"
Song Sung Blue will be the 6th film in the 13th Annual Academy Awards Film Series at the Englewood Library on Thursday, May 21, at 2 p.m. in the library’s Room 2. The program is free and open to the public. Because space is limited, those who register will have priority. Registration can be found at bccls.libcal.com/event/16595582. The film series will end on Thursday, May 28 at 2 p.m.
Song Sung Blue stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as Mike and Claire, but professionally, they are Lightning and Thunder, a Milwaukee husband and wife Neil Diamond tribute act, experience soaring success and devastating heartbreak in their musical journey together.
Song Sung Blue received one Academy Award nomination for Best Actress (Hudson). This film, based on a true story, also stars Ella Anderson, Hudson Hensley, King Princess, Michael Imperioli, Jim Belushi and Fisher Stevens. Song Sung Blue is rated PG-13, and the running time is 132 minutes.
The final film in the series will be One Battle After Another on May 28 at 2 p.m.
