F1 will be the 4th film in the 13th Annual Academy Awards Film Series at the Englewood Library on Thursday, May 7, at 2 p.m. in the library’s Room 2. The program is free and open to the public. Because space is limited, those who register will have priority. Registration can be found at bccls.libcal.com/event/16595580. The film series will continue each Thursday through May 28 at 2 p.m.
In this film, a Formula One driver (Brad Pitt) comes out of retirement to mentor and team up with a younger driver (Damson Idris). F1 also stars Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon.
F1 received 4 Academy Award nominations, winning for Best Sound. The film is rated PG-13, and the running time is 155 minutes.
