Armonk Players presents The Spitfire Grill Second chances. Small towns. Big heart. Armonk, NY — The Armonk Players proudly present The Spitfire Grill, the beloved musical with Music and Book by James Valcq, Lyrics and Book by Fred Alley, based on the film by Lee David Zlotoff. Performances will take place June 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13 at the Whippoorwill Theater, adjacent to the North Castle Public Library in Armonk, NY (entrance and parking on Kent Place). The Spitfire Grill tells the uplifting story of Percy Talbott, a young woman newly released from prison who seeks a fresh start in the rural town of Gilead, Wisconsin. Finding work at Hannah Ferguson’s struggling Spitfire Grill, Percy’s quiet strength and resilience begin to spark unexpected change in a community that has long been closed off to hope. What unfolds is a deeply moving tale of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of kindness. Since its premiere in 2001, The Spitfire Grill has captivated audiences across the country with its soaring, folk-inspired score and heartfelt storytelling. This intimate and powerful musical reminds us that second chances are possible — and that healing often begins with one brave step forward. The production is directed by Pia Haas with musical direction by Will Rich. Cast includes: Dominique Karanfilian as Percy, Ann Alford as Hannah, Anthony Malchar as Joe, Jennifer Wallace as Shelby, Michael Moriarity as Caleb, Lori Skjeveland as Effie.
