Seymour Library welcomes back the historian John Cilio. Mr. Cilio will be telling the little known stories of women spies of the Allies. The story of these remarkable women were and are little known to the public.
In the midst of the Second World War numerous courageous women put their lives on the line to operate behind enemy lines and uncover vital secrets. Some received formal training, while others were natural masters of intrigue and deception. These women, often underestimated, performed dangerous work, gathered and forwarded intelligence, and provided crucial aid in the Allied victory. Mr. Cilio hopes to bring their stories to the forefront that their vital work deserves.
