SPEAC SUCCESS “DROP THE MIC NIGHT” FEBRUARY 25TH WITH ALL PROCEEDS BENEFITTING FUTURE 5
SPEAC Success is bringing back Drop The Mic Night on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm at Stamford CoCreate, 47 John Street, Stamford, CT. All event proceeds will benefit Future 5, the Stamford nonprofit that has helped some 1,000 underserved high school student members to achieve their academic, career, and life goals.
"We are honored that SPEAC Success has chosen Future 5 as beneficiary for its latest ‘Drop the Mic’ event,” said Amanda Dubois-Mwake, Future 5 Executive Director. “We have just moved to new, expanded headquarters at Landmark Square to better serve the increased demand for our services. Grassroots personalized programs like Future 5 enable our youth to become successful, working adults — ultimately strengthening our local community, economy, and society.”
The evening will challenge 10 aspiring speakers to prepare a five-minute presentation on the theme of “Connectivity,” and participants will receive complimentary coaching prior to the event. Four of the contestants will be Future 5 students, and Future 5 Managing Director Marvin Louis (a Future 5 alum) will act as one of the event’s expert evaluators.
“The idea for Drop The Mic Night was born out of a simple yet powerful mission: to create a space where aspiring speakers could find their voice, share their stories, and build confidence in front of a live audience,” said Shannon Malkin Daniels, SPEAC Success founder and coach.
“This year we’re taking the mission even further by donating the evening’s proceeds to Future 5 — not only amplifying new voices, but also helping to change lives.”

Future 5 connects motivated, underserved and under-resourced Stamford high school students to the people and resources they need to achieve their educational, career, and life goals. Founded in 2009, Future 5 has provided connections to nearly 1,000 young people. Thanks to over 130+ volunteers and 60+ corporate/community partners, Future 5 offers links to coaching, college, community, and careers, all while helping to build life skills.
