A Dinner for the Ages - Wilton Historical Society Announces Return of Fundraising Event, Taste in Time Saturday, March 1st, 6 pm to 9 pm At the Wilton Historical Society Take a step back to the past, enjoy great food and drink, and support your local community. On Saturday, March 1st, from 6 to 9 pm, guests are invited to explore the Wilton Historical Society’s beautiful and unique historic spaces as you eat and drink your way through different eras of history. For this fundraising event, the Society has partnered with Marcia Selden Catering of Stamford, CT, to create a well researched and historically inspired menu that will immerse guests in nearly three centuries of Wilton – even encouraged – to embrace this unparalleled historical setting - historical costumes and dress are welcome! The Society’s charming and storied buildings, the c. 1770 Sloan-Raymond-Fitch House, the c. 1740 Betts-Sturges-Blackmar House, and the c. 1840 Burt Barn Gallery, will be decorated for the occasion. This event was planned through the hard work and dedication of the Society’s Development and Party Planning Committees, consisting of committee members Sabeth Albert, Steve Cafiero, Greg Chann, Ellen Essman, Mary Anne Mendola Franco, Dottie Jankowski, Farah Masani, Nancy Perez, Mike Safko, Sara Sclafani, Katy Williams, Abbey Dillon, Jenna Garecht, and Nick Foster. “The inaugural Taste in Time last year was a great event, so we are thrilled to bring it back this year”, said Nancy Perez, President of the Board of Trustees of the Wilton Historical Society, “It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate history in a unique space, and to support a community organization. All proceeds go directly towards our mission to preserve Wilton’s history, and to connect, engage and educate all who would look to the past to shape the future.” Event will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Society’s Museum Complex, 224 Danbury Road, Wilton, Connecticut.
