FBE Spelling Bee 2026
The FBE Spelling Bee day begins with Kindergarten spellers at 10:00am, and finishes late afternoon with grades 5 and 6 spellers. Grades K-4 are non-competitive, and grades 5 & 6 are competitive, with prizes awarded to the first and second place teams from the final competitive round. For grades 5 & 6 the pronouncers will start with words from the wordlist but will move off-list as the competition progresses. Grade appropriate word lists are available to review ahead of the Bee on our website (fbebelmont.org/spelling-bee).
Registration runs through January 18, $35/speller - please note that a team name and the names of team participants are required in order to register for the Bee. The team name and costume are all part of the fun - get creative!
We have a panel of judges, a host, and plenty of space for families and friends to come watch. It's also our 30th Spelling Bee this year, so come be part of the birthday Bee fun!
