Triple Live Blues Society Challenge Winners Show
Get ready for a night of award-winning blues when the Taffeta Music Hall in Lowell presents a triple bill of Blues Challenge winners. On December 12, New England Blues Challenge Winners take to the stage to show why they are the region’s best. The evening will help raise funds to send each act to Memphis compete at the International Blues Challenge representing New England Blues Societies, the Boston Blues Society and the Granite State Blues Society, who are co-sponsoring the evening.
21 Grams More is a six-piece American rock band known for their powerful, melody-driven sound that blends classic blues sensibilities with a modern edge. Featuring Kamal Jackson (Lead Vocals), Jeff Nilsen (Rhythm Guitar), Eddie Goodwin (Lead Guitar), Brent Conley (Bass Guitar), Ken Fay (Drums), and Steve Savoie (Keyboards), the band’s driving rhythms, soaring guitar work, and emotive vocals, has built them a dedicated following. They continue to forge a path, delivering authentic rock and blues that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
Bees Deluxe is a British/American modern blues band that tours from Maine to Miami Frequently performing at Daryl’s House Club, Jamey's House of Music, The Lizzie Rose Music Room, The Bull Run, Black Eyed Sally’s and Boston City Winery, the band blends classic blues tunes by artists like Etta James, Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland, Otis Rush and Joe Zawinul with modern songs by Robert Cray, Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top with their addictive originals that tackle topics like potholes, aliens and conspiracy theories. Their recent album “Hallucinate” was declared “What Steely Dan would sound like if they played the blues.” With a mission to modernize the genre, Bees Deluxe delivers a fresh and distinct musical experience built on musical expertise.
Known for his solo work and as the leas in Frankie Boy & The Blues Express, Frank EB is a vocalist guitarist and songwriter Often performing live writing and recording original music. EB’s music style ranges from blues to soul, Hip-Hop and more a buffet blending many types of music together. He’s high energy, engaging and fun.
