The first weekend of every month, Bank of America's monthly "Museums on Us" program offers free admission to a number of Boston's most prestigious museums.
The nationwide program is available to all Bank of America, Merrill, and Bank of America Private Bank cardholders, and opensup more than 225 of the nation's most prominent cultural institutions in 35 states. In Massachusetts, the participating museums are:
- The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Featured Exhibit:
"Framing nature: Gardens and Imagination”, March 15- June 28
- The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston Featured Exhibit: "Say It Loud" Feb 12 – Aug 2, 2026
- The Peabody Essex Museum, Salem Featured Exhibit: "Edmonia Lewis: Said in Stone" through June 7
- EcoTarium, Worcester New Exhibit: "The Secret World of Elephants" - March–September 2026,
- The Mount, Edith Wharton's home in Lenox: Mansion opens for the season May 9; Grounds are open year round
- Orchard House, Louisa May Alcott's home in Concord. From April - October 2026
- Springfield Museums Featured Exhibit: "Declaration of Innovation: Springfield’s Revolutionary Ideas." May 16, 2026–September 27, 2026
- Fitchburg Art Museum: New Exhibit: "Kaleidoscope: 100 Years of Collecting for Our Community" February 21, 2026 – May 2, 2027
- The New Bedford Whaling Museum Featured Exhibit: "“LOOK PLEASANT, PLEASE”: EARLY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY IN NEW BEDFORD. January 16, 2026 - September 7, 2026
- The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum (Saturdays only) "Variations: A Cape Cod Museum of Art Special Exhibit” through May 31
Bank of America offers this benefit to promote greater cultural understanding, expand accessibility to the arts, and strengthen communities. Upon arriving at a participating institution, customers need only present their Bank of America, Merrill or Bank of America Private Bank credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain free general admission for themselves.
