The Next Chapter Books and More, located in Quincy, MA, is thrilled to announce a special evening with acclaimed author Jennifer Coburn on May 15, 2025, at 6:30 PM at Central Middle School in Quincy, MA. This exciting event will feature an engaging discussion with Jennifer and Club RED founder, Christine O’Shea, about Jennifer’s latest novel and USA Today bestseller, The Girls of the Glimmer Factory, followed by an audience Q & A and a book signing.
Jennifer Coburn is a celebrated historical fiction author. Her latest book, The Girls of the Glimmer Factory, is an illuminating tale of resistance and the dangers of propaganda during World War II.
“Childhood friends meet again as adults during the making of the Nazi propaganda film Hitler Gives a City to the Jews. Hannah is a Jewish prisoner, and her former friend Hilde is now working for the German Ministry of Propaganda. When the two face off, they discover who they truly are -- and who they are meant to become.”
Her previous novel, "Cradles of the Reich", is a historical novel about three very different women living at a Nazi Lebensborn at the start of World War ll. Jennifer has published a mother-daughter travel memoir, We'll Always Have Paris, as well as six contemporary women's novels. She has also contributed to five literary anthologies, including A Paris All Your Own.
Jennifer lives in San Diego. When Jennifer is not going down historical research rabbit holes, she volunteers with So Say We All, a live storytelling organization, where she is a performer, producer, and performance coach. She is also an active volunteer with Reality Changers, a nonprofit that supports low-income high school students in becoming the first in their families to attend college.
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase copies of The Girls of the Glimmer Factory at the event and have them signed by the author. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to Coburn’s work, this is a must-attend evening for book lovers, historical fiction buffs and aspiring writers alike.
