On Monday, Feb 23, Abbot Public Library continues its Open Mic series, inviting the community to share their writings. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, this is a chance to connect with your community. You can prepare a short story or a nonfiction prose piece. At each gathering, we’ll welcome a featured reader, after which the mic will be open to the first 10 people who sign up. Readers are asked to keep readings to five minutes or less. Beverly Pierce will lead off the February session.
The Open Mic will be hosted by Claire Keyes, a celebrated poet and Professor Emerita at Salem State University. Light refreshments will be served following the readings.
Registration is required and limited to 20. Please register at tinyurl.com/Feb-2026-Open-Mic.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of Abbot Public Library.
