The Art of Bookmaking and Zines with Susan Marsh
Learn how to create your own books and zines in this new workshop! For the first session, the class will make zines and a box to house them. These structures can also enclose children’s sketches, diaries, comics and other little books that they create. The class will also cover other methods to create books from the basic zine structure.
The second session will continue to focus on books made by folding. The group will make origami boxes and two different types of books to fit inside: accordion and star book.
Space is limited to 12 students in grades 5-6. Online registration is required - please register for each session you’d like to attend at abbotlibrary.org/events.
