Poetry Salon with Claire Keyes Featuring the Work of Susan Rich


The November Poetry Salon will feature the poems of Susan Rich, author of six collections of poetry, most recently “Cloud Pharmacy” and “The Alchemist’s Kitchen.” Originally from the Boston area, Rich holds degrees from UMass and Harvard. She has worked as a staff person for Amnesty International, an electoral supervisor in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a human rights trainer in Gaza and the West Bank. Rich lived in the Republic of Niger, West Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, later moving to South Africa to teach at the University of Cape Town. She lives in Seattle and teaches at Highline College. Her poems are the product of her travels and her wide experience.
