Meet The Artists Reception
Join us for a public reception on Thursday, May 1 from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. Come meet the artists, find out more about their work and enjoy refreshments!
On view from Monday, April 14 - Friday, May 23, the variety of artwork on the wall highlights the talents of members of the Swampscott Arts Association. The artists work in a variety of mediums including acrylic, watercolor, oil, pastel, gouache, photography, and mixed media.

Swampscott Arts Association first came into existence in the 1940s when a few local artists came together to meet, exchange ideas and display their works. Today, the organization consists of 60 artists and several ‘artistic supporters.’ Throughout the year, they hold many exhibits and now find themselves privileged to be showing the talents of artists in the Carten Gallery.
