Where Voices Meet - Chester River Chorale spring concert
The Chester River Chorale, under the direction of Artistic Director Alexis Ward and Assistant Director Stephanie LaMotte, presents, Where Voices Meet. From Appalachian folk tunes, shape-note hymns, blues, gospel, and spirituals, this program honors the diverse traditions that rise from our shared roots and echo with stories of resilience, hope, and joy.
Where Voices Meet includes music by Aaron Copland, Alice Parker, Moses Hogan, Rosephanye Powell, Ysaye Barnwell, Keith Hampton, Stacey Gibbs, Mac Wilberg, and more. Through dynamic choral works and soulful solos, the program explores the ways music can bridge differences, build community, and kindle the sense of belonging we all seek.
