SOUPer Bowl Lunch
The donation-only community lunch is scheduled for Sunday, February 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church, 1740 Forest Drive in Annapolis. The event is open to the public, with free admission and requested donations supporting the Light House.
Volunteers will serve soups prepared by Brian Shallcross, a home chef and the general manager of the Chesapeake Baysox. The menu will include chicken noodle, potato, and chili, along with salad, fresh rolls, and dessert.
Organizers say this year’s fundraising goal is $10,000, with donations accepted both at the event and online. According to organizers, 100% of donations go directly to the Light House, and the SOUPer Bowl Lunch has raised more than $70,000 for the organization since it began.
