Nocturne at Gallery 1448 (Opening Reception)
Join us at Gallery 1448 at the opening reception for Nocturne. This exhibition features a select group of artists using multiple mediums and disciplines to explore the haunting and hypnotic hush between darkness and dawn. This wide range covers the classic elegance of moonlit landscapes, from nocturnal flora, fauna and dreamlike vignettes to the midnight realm of insomnia, urban melancholy and gothic nightmares.
Participating artists include Laura Dodson, Kira Dolcimascolo, Daniel Brown, Bridgette Guerzon Mills, Jennifer Hogan, Emily Lamb, Michelle Lamb (Curator), Nestor Millan, Micah Moon, Mario Naves, Leslie Schwing, Zoe Vassiliou, and Laura Vernon Russell.
The show runs through October 31. Admission is free. In addition to the opening reception, festivities will include a mask-making event on October 14, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and a Halloween closing party on October 31, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., where costumes and masks are encouraged.
