Darryl Maximilian Robinson Talks 50 Years of Stage Roles on THE ACTOR'S CHOICE


 

During his four previous appearances as a Guest Professional Actor on the internet performing arts television show 'The Actor's Choice,' Chicago-born and drama-educated, veteran stage actor and play director Darryl Maximilian Robinson ( The Founder, Artistic Director and Producer of both The Excaliber Shakespeare Company of Chicago and The Excaliber Shakespeare Company Los Angeles Archival Project ) was given ample time and space by skilled interviewer and experienced entertainment journalist and Host Ron Brewington to state his theatrical history, his career aspirations, his political views and his passion for his craft.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He has been delighted over the past few years as a Guest Professional Actor on 'The Actor's Choice' to discuss both his successes and his failures and his hopes and aspirations as a practitioner of an art form and industry that he truly loves: The Theatre.

 

 

But on Monday July 8, 2024, when Theatre Artist Darryl Maximilian Robinson made his fifth appearance as a Guest Actor on 'The Actor's Choice' Episode 10.28, he expounded on what it is to have spent 50 years of Life as an American Stage Performer. He discussed the challenge and concerns of engaging in any live performing art form during the time of A Global Pandemic. And he also discussed the need for all artists to take part in a free democracy and vote their choice in the upcoming national election.

Darryl Maximilian Robinson, who won a 2022 Making The World Happening Award for his numerous online theatre-related offerings at Allevents.in and a 2015 / 2016 Los Angeles Elate Season Ticket Holder Best Actor Award nomination for his performance as debonair, but aging leading man Ernest in Tad Mosel's classic one-act play of Life In The Theatre "Impromptu" presented at The Lincoln Stegman Theatre in North Hollywood, also recently appeared in the comedic supporting role of Chicago Tribune Newspaper Reporter Roy V. Bensinger in The Culver City Public Theatre of Culver City, California 2024 revival of Ben Hecht's and Charles MacArthur's 1928 hit Broadway stage comedy "The Front Page," which, in this new script adaptation by skilled CCPT Director Trace Oakley and staged outdoors in Culver City's Carlson Memorial Park, has been blended with Hollywood screwball comedy scriptwriter Charles Lederer's 1940 screenplay of "His Girl Friday."
