Under Construction: A New Play Series by Trinity St Players “Therapy Scares Me” by Michelle Alexander The Trinity St Players invite you to join us for the second reading in our New Play Series “Under Construction.” Michelle Alexander’s Therapy Scares Me. ABOUT THE SHOW:Therapy Scares Me follows the story of a Black woman journey with multiple sclerosis, navigating the challenges of teaching while balancing her own physical and emotional battles. ABOUT THE TEAM: Directed by Amber Quick. Written and performed by Michelle A. Alexander ABOUT THE ARTIST: Michelle Alexander is an Austin native, sits on the Advisory Council for Trinity Street Players. She also has been involved in several productions around Austin in a variety of theatre’s. They have been seen in ROE at Zach Theatre. Unexpected Joy (Lou Newman) with GroundFloor as well as Single Black Female (SBF1) with GroundFloor, Austin Playhouses production of The Battlefields of Clara Barton (Clara 4), Zilker Theatre’s All Shook Up as Sylvia. Also seen in Judy Moody and the Bad Treasure Hunt with Austin Scottish Rite; Mrs. Fezziwig/Cratchit in ZACH’s Christmas Carol, Mary Poppins, Singin’ in the Rain, and Notes From the Field as a variety of characters with ZACH. Sideshow, Godspell and several zoom plays with TSP. SCHEDULE: Saturday, November 30th 3-4pm @ the Trinity St Playhouse | 901 Trinity St. ART PARTY: Following the reading, we will have an artist reception for Michelle and for Lyle Adair, whose copper sculpture exhibit Waking Dreams will be on display.
