Acoustic Sunrise Brunch with Invoke String Quartet
Join KMFA Classical 89.5 for a relaxing Sunday morning of beautiful music, delicious food, and welcoming community at The Urban Pour Social inside Hotel Indigo in Downtown Austin. Our next Acoustic Sunrise Brunch will take place on Sunday, August 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m and will feature KMFA faves, Invoke!
Invoke Austin’s favorite genre-bending string quartet Invoke! Described as “...not anything but everything: Classical, Folk, Bluegrass, Americana and a sound yet to be termed seamlessly merged into a perfect one,” says David Srebnik, SiriusXM Classical Producer. Invoke—Nick Montopoli (violin/banjo/vocals), Zach Matteson (violin/vocals), Karl Mitze (viola/mandolin/vocals), and Geoff Manyin (cello/vocals)—defies easy labels. Drawing on bluegrass, Appalachian fiddle tunes, jazz, minimalism, and chamber tradition, the quartet weaves these threads into original works composed by and for the group. As Strings Magazine notes, “the remarkable string quartet Invoke has repeatedly proven one thing over its first 11 years: it simply cannot be contained by any one label.” Expect energy, storytelling, and musical surprises.
You’ll also be welcomed by KMFA Host Jeffrey Blair, on hand to greet listeners and help set the tone for a joyful, music-filled morning.
The chef-curated brunch buffet will include:

Guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Seating is first come, first served, with both family-style and individual group tables available.
Gratuity and alcoholic beverages are not included in the ticket price.
