Stephen Hough: A Solo Piano Recital

One of the most distinctive artists of his generation, Sir Stephen Hough, combines a distinguished career as a pianist with those of composer and writer. Named by The Economist as one of Twenty Living Polymaths, Hough was the first classical performer to be awarded a MacArthur Fellowship (2001). He was awarded Northwestern University’s 2008 Jean Gimbel Lane Prize in Piano, won the Royal Philharmonic Society Instrumentalist Award in 2010, and in 2016 was made an Honorary Member of RPS. In 2014 he was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) and was knighted in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2022. ATX Chamber Music and Jazz is thrilled to welcome this extraordinary artist for two performances. This evening our cocktail bar is led by distinguished mixologist Naren Young. Naren was the creative director at Dante from 2015 to 2020. During his tenure, the bar won numerous awards, including being named the best bar in the world on the 2019 World's 50 Best Bars list. He speaks at many of the world’s biggest bar shows, gives master classes to bar professionals and judges global cocktail competitions. Young's writing has been featured in Condé Nast Traveler, Eater, Epicurious, Food Republic and Imbibe, and Liquor.com
