Mr. Marsalis is an icon of contemporary artistic excellence, having won three Grammy Awards, received a Tony nomination for his work as a composer on Broadway, been cited by the National Endowment for the Arts as a Jazz Master, and earned a 2021 Primetime Emmy nomination for the score he composed for the ""Tulsa Burning"" documentary.
