Community Art Sunday
Creative Action, an Austin nonprofit that provides arts-based education and enrichment programming to youth and families throughout the Greater Austin area, will hold their 10th Annual Community Art Sunday. Community Art Sunday is a free, semi-annual event that invites everyone in the community to participate in arts-making with the professional teaching artists at Creative Action. Activities include art installations, poetry, digital media, recycled art and more and will take place at the Springdale General complex, 1023 Springdale Road, 78721, building 3 from 2-5pm.
Creative Action’s Community Art Sunday encourages the public to connect with local artists and organizations through workshops, civic engagement and live performances and works to cultivate community with active learning experiences for all ages. Participating partners at Community Art Sunday include Cap Metro, H-E-B, Meanwhile Brewing, Herbal Action Project, Austin Discovery School, Garden Ephemeral Art, Texas Healthy Habits, Austin Parks Foundation, Keep Austin Beautiful, and Ghisallo Cycling Initiative.
