From their respective states of residence. eight Convergente artists each bring a unique vision to the worlds of contemporary art, from where they capture their transnational experiences and visually narrate how these experiences influence and shape the artistic practice. The Tzompantili exhibit is a collective artistic introspection Inspired by the ancient Mesoamerican tradition of the Tzompantli, which displayed human skulls in a ritual act intended to ensure the continuity of life, Tzompantli Artistic Reflection 2024 is the fifth edition of this international exhibition. More than 160 artists from various parts of the world have created works in which they reinterpret this ancestral symbolism, each using their personal technique and accompanying their artwork with a written reflection on the current year.
