Omni Barton Creek is excited to announce an all-star lineup of acclaimed chefs and restaurants for SMOKE’s Masters of the Flavor: Barbecue Showdown on Saturday, Aug. 2. This all-access culinary showdown brings together the best pitmasters of Texas and Oklahoma for a friendly cross-state competition. From 5 to 9 p.m., top talent from both states will go head to head in a live grill-off, showcasing the bold flavors and distinct barbecue styles that define Texas and Oklahoma. A panel of celebrity judges and barbecue experts will evaluate the competition, awarding top honors in multiple categories.
The restaurants representing Texas will include Reese Bro’s Barbecue from San Antonio, Goldee’s Barbecue from Fort Worth, Fege’s BBQ from Houston, and Zavala’s Barbeque from Grand Prairie. Representing Team Oklahoma will include BurnCo. Barbecue from Jenks, Oklahoma; Phat Tabb’s from Idabel, Oklahoma; MAC’s Barbecue from Skiatook, Oklahoma; and finally Butcher Barbecue from Wellston, Oklahoma. The smokehouse showdown will be led by headliners Evan LeRoy of Austin's LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue (Michelin Star, No. 2 on Texas Monthly’s 50 Best BBQ Joints list), Kevin Lee of Birdie’s in Oklahoma (James Beard semifinalist, Food Network champion) and Steve Gustafson, executive chef of Omni Barton Creek.
Tickets are $225 per person and are available at smokeatbartoncreek.com. Tickets will give each guest full access to all the BBQ, craft drinks, and live music by Tomar and the FCs.
