The Listening room at Oak Hill presents Jeff Plankhorn and Gabe Rhodes
Two singer/songwriters will combine their talents May 15 at The Listening Room at Oak Hill.
JPlank (a.k.a. Jeff Plankenhorn) and Gabe Rhodes will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary located at 7815 Hwy 290 West. Doors open at 7 pm; a $25 donation per person will be collected at the door.
Plankenhorn is known internationally as a master of the lap steel guitar. His style blends blues, folk and roots music into his unique sound.
“Music is about bringing people together,” Plankenhorn said, “whether biker or drag queen, listener or dancer; to share in the joy and connection that only a great song can deliver.”
While best known for his guitar wizardry, Rhodes is a multi-instrumentalist who has recorded with artists ranging from Owen Temple to Willie Nelson.
