Past Things/Carly Weaver

Link and Pin Art Space is proud to present Carly Weaver: Past Things, a solo exhibition presenting a new body of work in mixed media, graphite and plaster. Although she is best known as “The Grackle Lady” with her prominent paintings of grackles, this show highlights work that is more personal and expressive. Past Things features a collection of 60 x 60-inch panels with intricate drawings and vulnerable diary entries accompanied by a new series of delicate plaster cast sculptures. This show creates a partial visual timeline of the artist's life through memory, nostalgia and loss, hoping to invite the viewer into a collective history of 80's childhood, tape collections and more. The opening reception will celebrate the culmination of over 600 hours of drawing.
