We are excited to celebrate the achievements and bright futures of the Ann Richards School senior class at Reach for the Stars!
Join us at Reach for the Stars on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the JW Marriott Austin, as we highlight the transformative opportunities our Star students have encountered at the Ann Richards School, including engaging projects, college visits, and valuable internships over their seven-year journey.
This year, we will honor Ann Richards Legacy Award recipient Dr. Ruth Simmons, president emerita of Smith College, Brown University, and Prairie View A&M University.
Dr. Ruth J. Simmons recently published her memoir, Up Home: One Girl’s Journey. The recounting of her life’s journey in the page turning, 204-page memoir was written, she says, to “help young people understand that whatever the circumstances of their lives, they are born not to be the person that history, limited resources, and others dictate but, rather, the person they are willing to pour their heart and soul into becoming.”
Reach for the Stars is the Ann Richards School Foundation’s annual fundraising gala to recognize the graduating class of the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders and celebrate their bright futures.
