The National Convening on Community Based Practice, hosted by Forklift Danceworks, will take place September 23–25, 2026 in Austin, Texas. The convening will bring together artists, organizers, educators, students, and cultural workers from across the country for conversations, workshops, activations, and collaborative exchange centered on community-based and socially engaged artistic practice.
