AUSTIN, TX — Sept. 2, 2025 — Holi Shamoli Productions proudly announces the world premiere of Apprehension, a new play written by L.B. Deyo and directed by Sonnet Blanton, opening October 9, 2025, at Hyde Park Theatre. The production stars Brent Werzner, Jennymarie Jemison, Jeffery Mills, and Michelle Keffer in a darkly thought-provoking theatrical experience that blurs the lines between memory, perception, and something more sinister. Apprehension follows Joe, an ordinary man facing a slew of memory & interpersonal struggles — or so it seems. As his grasp on reality and memory begins to erode, the relationships he holds most dear become collateral damage in a deeper unraveling. What begins as self-doubt morphs into a haunting exploration of identity and the hidden machinery behind human experience. “This isn’t just a psychological spiral — it’s a mirror held up to the way we convince ourselves of our own truths,” says director Sonnet Blanton. “It’s eerie, smart, and brutally honest.” The play runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission and will be performed Thursdays through Saturdays from October 9 to November 1, 2025, at the award-winning Hyde Park Theatre in Central Austin with an opening night celebration on Saturday, October 10 & a special Halloween performance on October 31st.
