Since 2005, the annual Chili Cook-off + Benefit has warmed up the winter—and not just for those eating chili. This five-alarm face-off raises money to support Free Lunch, an organization working to address food insecurity in Austin.
The event will also feature a host of chili-related festivities, including a Quickfire Competition, music from Jeff Hughes & Chaparral and the Jo’s House Band, a raffle, and more.
For those not competing, entry is free, allowing everyone to enjoy live music and the thrilling competition. Tasting wristbands are available on-site for $25. These wristbands provide a sample of each chili and one ticket to vote for a favorite. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m.
