Historic Cox Springs School Tours
Learn about rural education, see restoration work in progress for the 1928 school building, and enjoy free snacks. Hear about rural education challenges and daily schedule, see historic photos and books, and explore our unique school desk collection from the 1880s-1950s.
Admission is free but we will gladly accept donations to help with restoration work. This event is sponsored by the Cox Springs School Restoration Society and the Travis County Historical Commission.
Also explore nearby Nameless and Round Mountain schools, nearby surviving one-room rural schools, starting at 10am on April 12th and enjoy pioneer activities, crafts, school tours and local foods
