Georgetown’s Red Poppy Festival Returns April 25-27 for its 26th Year


It is the 26th year the city has hosted the free, three-day festival to celebrate the history and beauty of its poppy season. For 100 years, red poppies have decorated Georgetown’s landscape; one of the few places in the United States where red poppies reseed every year. The two and one-half day event features live music, a food court, regional artists, a classic car show, and more. Performing at the Red Poppy Stage this year are Dysfunkshun Junkshun, Makenzie Carpenter and festival headliner, country artist, Cory Morrow. Dysfynkshun Junkshun performs on Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m.. Carpenter will perform on Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m., and Morrow will follow at 8:30 p.m. All concerts are free.
