Brown Noise Comedy Presents: AAPI Heritage Month Showcase
Brown Noise Comedy arrives at East Austin Comedy Club for a special AAPI Heritage Month showcase celebrating brown voices in comedy. Created by comedian Raza Jafri, the touring show brings together South Asian, Arab, Persian, and other brown comedians for a night of stand-up rooted in culture, connection, and the kind of humor that feels instantly familiar.
Rather than a traditional comedy lineup where diverse voices are limited to a single spot, Brown Noise centers an entire evening around comedians whose stories, perspectives, and references resonate deeply with audiences who rarely see themselves reflected across the whole bill. The lineup remains a surprise, featuring a rotating mix of rising and established comics from across the country.
Following the 6 p.m. show, guests are encouraged to stick around and gather at Sheesh, the club’s on-site food truck. Given AAPI, Sheesh is offering a free samosa with the purchase of any roll. Admission starts at $15, excluding fees. Reservations can be made through East Austin Comedy Club.
