Since 1997, AEBP has raised over $1 million to support critical programs at the Central Texas Food Bank and Meals on Wheels Central Texas, fighting hunger in our community. Potters from around Austin gather to create custom bowls to donate to this event, showcasing the community's dedication to the cause. Some of the local restaurants donating soup and bread include- Garbo's, Trulucks, Hoover's, Sanford Sourdough Bakery, Gueros, Olamaie, Little Ola's Biscuits, Redbud Icehouse, Maie Day, Kitchen Elf, Bartlett's, New World Deli, Truluck’s, El Dorado Cafe, Jack Allen's Kitchen, Salt Traders, and Teresa's Table.
Year-Round Efforts: AEBP's commitment doesn't stop at Thanksgiving. We host outreach programs and partnerships year-round to amplify our impact. Additionally, we organize fun events like bowl-a-thons and glaze-a-thons, where we create dozens of bowls for our annual Empty Bowls event.
