MMMF & Red Leaf present: Cid Sanchez student showcase


The Music Moves Mountains Foundation and Red Leaf School of Music are partnering up to raise funds for music scholarships on Saturday, May 24th with local veteran musician and teacher Cid Sanchez. Cid will be showcasing his music students past and present with his current bands, Rockville Blues (featuring Adam Johnson with Jack Montesinos and Nico Leophonte), and The Beatle Boys (with Chris Cebrian, Hudson Tartack, and Jack Montesinos). There will be a silent auction to help support the cause. Show is all ages; $5+ donation; Doors at 6 pm; Show 6:30 pm to 9 pm at Captain Quack's Soundspace located at 5326 Menchaca Road Austin, TX 78745. About Cid: As a part of the Corpus Christi music migration to Austin in the 70s with his bandmates Chris Layton and Joe Sublett, Cid established himself as one of the most sought-after guitarists playing with legends John Mayall, Freddie Fender, Bo Diddley, James Polk, Rick Trevino, and Alejandro Escovedo. Cid has been teaching guitar for over 25 years in Austin and helped mentor students like Max Frost and Adam Johnson. About Red Leaf: The Red Leaf School of Music is celebrating its 18th year as one of Austin’s most reputable music schools, led by musician Geno Stroia.
