Bike to Work Day 2025
Join hundreds of Austinites pedalling towards sustainability and community health on Bike to Work Day, Friday, May 16, 2025. Bike to Work Day is also Austin’s largest collective cycling event, consisting of guided group bike rides, AM Fueling Stations and more hosted by Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, in partnership with Get There ATX and the City of Austin.
Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, an Austin nonprofit organization offering free bike education to all ages, is spearheading a day of bike related activities, including the organization of 40+ free morning Fueling Stations throughout the Austin-area as well as four organized group rides that will converge at Austin CIty Hall for the Central Fueling Station, where multiple groups will be in attendance providing information and swag from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.; breakfast tacos and beverages will be provided. Arrive by 8:45 a.m. for special Bike To Work Day messages from City of Austin Council Members, Austin Transportation Department staff, and other guest speakers.
Austin’s Bike to Work Day will also include a post-work After Party from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Central Machine Works, which will include drink and food specials for cyclists and live music. A group of cyclists and city officials will gather at Austin City Hall at 5 p.m. and the ride will depart at 5:15 p.m. to head to the After Party, where prizes will be awarded to Bike to Work Day participants.
