Wavemakers 2nd Annual Holiday Concert feat. Sara Hickman
Wavemakers Women in Music 40+ proudly announces the return of its annual Merry & Bright: Wavemakers Holiday Concert & Market—a spirited celebration of the groundbreaking Wavemakers movement. Taking place Thursday, December 11 at The 04 Center in Austin, this inspiring evening will shine a spotlight on some of the city’s most dynamic women musicians over 40, affirming Wavemakers’ mission to uplift and champion the power, artistry, and impact of women 40+ in music and beyond.
This year’s holiday concert also honors Austin’s Grammy nominated artist, educator and philanthropist, Sara Hickman, for her incredible work and contributions to the community and the world.
The event also celebrates Wavemakers’ remarkable inaugural year, including the launch of the Wavemakers Grant Program, which awarded $35,000 in grants to 11 women musicians 40+, helping fund and complete their music projects. Recipients included Alice Spencer, Estani Frizzell, Alison Tucker, Qi Dada, Chantel Deniese, and Leslie Sisson of Moving Panoramas.
Alongside the live performances, guests can explore the Holiday Arts Market, showcasing distinctive creations by local women entrepreneurs and artists—perfect for seasonal gifting.
