The Richmond Branch Library will host iPad advanced classes for adults 55 and older who have had vision changes. The classes are part of the LEAP (Library Equal Access Program) program, presented by the Talking Book and Braille Center and New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. This is a beginning-level class.
Those attending the iPad Basics class will receive an introduction to the device. Students will learn accessibility features on the iPad, such as Zoom and VoiceOver (Apple’s built-in screen reader), to access the iPad.
iPads will be available for use in class, or you may bring your own iPad or iPhone with you (the accessibility features on the iPad and the iPhone are the same).
Classes will be held on 1-3 p.m. on Wednesdays from March 23-April 27. Space is limited, so registration is required. To register, call Stephen Felle at 800-792-8322, ext. 812, or email him at [email protected].
