SURF CITY – If an ailing or advanced-age individual depends on you for care, here is an opportunity to deepen your abilities in the company of others like yourself. A discussion of “Caregiving for the Sick and Elderly” will take place at 2 PM Tuesday, December 3, at the Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch.
The informative hour, presented in partnership with Hackensack Meridian Health, will also introduce you to the Caregiver Support Group that meets in the OCL Stafford Branch in Manahawkin.
It’s a great chance to casually bond with people who have common ground in their tasks, responsibilities and goals, and to develop new insights for the care that you provide.
Please register at https://tinyurl.com/OclLbiHMH to attend this free program, sponsored by the Friends of the Island Library.
The Friends are volunteers who support OCL through programs, fundraising and advocacy. New members are always welcome. Application forms are available at all Library branches and reading centers and also on the OCL website.
For more information about this program, stop by the OCL Long Beach Island Branch, 217 South Central Avenue, Surf City, call (609) 494-2480 or visit the Library’s online Calendar of Events.
