Boys & Girls Club to Launch Summer Vibes Workforce Camp for Local Teens

The program, which will take place at the Teen Center, 317 N. Pennsylvania Ave., will provide local youth with career training, weekly field trips, and recreational activities, preparing them for future success in the workforce. This program is made possible by support from the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. The Summer Vibes Workforce Camp is designed to help teens build essential skills for future success, including work readiness, communication, and teamwork. The camp will help teens gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while fostering a sense of responsibility and community. “This program is a fantastic opportunity for our local teens to gain practical work experience, improve their job readiness, and have fun while doing it," said Apreyah Parks, MSW, Workforce Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. “We are proud to offer this summer camp as a way to invest in the future of Atlantic City’s youth, giving them the tools and experiences they need to succeed in both the workforce and life.” Information Sessions for Parents and Teens An essential part of the program is a required information session for both parents and teens to learn about the camp, program expectations, and necessary documentation such as work permits. Information sessions will be held on the following dates: • April 12: 1-3 pm • April 26: 11 am – 2 pm • May 10: 10 am – 2 pm • May 17: 1-3 pm These sessions will provide detailed information about the camp and allow parents and teens to ask questions directly to the camp staff.
