Written and directed by Layon Gray, “Black Angels Over Tuskegee” seeks to tell the story of six men who, despite Jim Crow-era inequality, exhibited courage and patriotism and formed a brotherhood.
According to Backstage, the play inspired by true events not only teaches, celebrates, or entertains, but “manages to do all three and one thing more: it inspires.”
