Stephen Starr is at it again (thankfully) with his latest venture, Bankroll at the Boyd, a sports and dining concept comprising 5 separate venues--18,000 sq. ft. of space--all under one roof.
Taking over the historic former Boyd Theater on Chestnut St. near Rittenhouse Square, Bankroll is "being built and developed to be comfortable for sports enthusiasts and also comfortable for guests that are not primarily interested in sports", says Michael Palermo, vice president of development, construction, and facilities at Starr Restaurants
The huge sports and entertainment venue will feature in total 400 seats and 100 tables.
A 130 seat formal restaurant will be located near the front of the building on the first floor, with a 40 guest event space in the mezzanine available for private parties.
Bankroll will also feature a space with living room seating and individually controlled TVs, three separate bars, a full-service kitchen as well as sports betting via licensed sports betting mobile app partners. (Bankroll, according to representatives of the project, will not be applying for a gaming license.)
A liquor license application is still pending, while some zoning issues have to resolved.
But in Philly, Starr is always a good bet, and the UpcomingEvents.com crew is looking forward to hearing about their grand opening! #wellbethere
