You Are Not Your Face: An Orwellian Folk Musical
Who are you when you're not looking? You Are Not Your Face follows the exorbitant world of the Onlookers, the elite of society and only people allowed to own mirrors and see their faces. Onlooker Reign and villager Mira navigate their relationship from opposite sides of society and explore fear, the power of the press, and what it means to to question the institutions of power working against them.
You Are Not Your Face runs February 27th and 28th at Onward Theatre at 8PM with doors opening at 7:45PM.
Written, directed, and produced by ambitious theatrical artist Sof Delgado, You Are Not Your Face makes its return to Atlanta. This production debuted during the inaugural 2024 season of Lavender Festival, an Atlanta festival centering LGBTQ+ Southern voices, for a two performance run. You Are Not Your Face is now returning as a co-production with Onward Theatre, an Atlanta theatre whose mission is centering underrepresented groups of performers, for another two performance run.
